Nigeria to Host 61st UNWTO-CAF Meeting
Nigeria has won the right to host the 61st African Meeting of Ministers of Tourism and Culture billed for next year. Reports say that Nigeria won the hosting right at the on-going UNWTO-CAF meeting holding in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
FCT Minister on Airport Road
With the re-opening of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja to flight operations, the FCT Administration has promised to ease traffic flow along the airport road by tracking the competition of the Bill Clinton Bridge by airport junction.
FCT Minister, Muhammad Musa Bello gave this assurance while inspecting portions of the airport road project.
INEC chairman meet RECS
A crucial meeting of the Independent National Electoral Commission on the modalities and procedures for the roll out of the nationwide continuous voter registration exercise ahead of the 2019 general elections is ongoing at the INEC Headquarters Abuja.
INEC Chairman Professor Mahamood Yakubu is meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners to gather information on availability of materials and to ensure that all the necessary requirements are in place for a hitch free exercise. He also listed the categories of Nigerians who qualify for the registration.
A communiqué on the process for the exercise is to be issued at the end of the deliberation.
INEC Chairman on Voter Registration
The nationwide continuous voter registration exercise is to commence on Thursday 27th April 2017.
This is the outcome of a crucial meeting of the independent national electoral commission on the modalities and procedures for the exercise ahead of the 2019 general election.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo may have begun preliminary investigations into the allegations of misconduct leveled against the suspended secretary to the government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal and the Director General of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency, NIA Ambassador Ayo Oke.
Reports say that the embattled government functionaries met the vice president behind closed doors.
