Nnamdi Kanu reveals he is still entitled to compensation of $800m

The pioneer of the proposed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has said that in spite of being allowed safeguard by the Federal High Court in Abuja where he is being indicted close by others on charges of treasonable crime, he is as yet qualified for the $800m pay for his affirmed unlawful capture and confinement in 2015.

This is contained in his reaction to the movement recorded by the Federal Government soliciting the Community Court from the Economic Community of West African States sitting in Abuja to reject a principal human rights requirement suit documented by the IPOB pioneer.

Kanu had recorded the suit on March 3, 2016, requesting $800m as pay from the Federal Government for his claimed unlawful capture in 2015 and confinement.

Be that as it may, the Federal Government, through its legal advisor, Mrs. Maimuna Shiru, recorded its movement on November 13, expressing that Kanu having been allowed safeguard by the Federal High Court in Abuja on April 25, 2017, and supposedly bounced safeguard, the judgment of the ECOWAS Court on the suit would fill no need.

Be that as it may, Kanu, through his legal counselor, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, protested the Federal Government's movement battling that conceding safeguard to the IPOB pioneer was only a fractional fulfillment of petitions looked for in the suit.

He kept up that the ECOWAS Court had the ability to give his customer the $800m remuneration looked for since the IPOB pioneer's rights had been abused.

Ejiofor expressed in his composed address, "We submit in this way that the court has powers to arrange for an installment of compensatory harms when discovered that the offended party's privilege has been disregarded."
