Although details of the warrant obtained is not yet clear, the Osborne luxury apartment came in the news after the EFCC discovered $43.4m, N23.2m, £27,800 from the building on Wednesday, April 12.
Recall that the money recovered were surrounded by controversy after over three individuals were named as owners of the huge cash stashed in the apartment. Also, recently, the Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike has alleged that the money discovered by the anti-graft agency is part of the loot stolen from his predecessor Rotimi Amaechi. ZEALYNEWS.tk gathered that Wike also gave the federal government and the EFCC an ultimatum to release the money to the state. But in a similar claim, the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) has also said that the money belongs to the agency.
The agency claimed that the recovered money is part of the funds released to it for covert operation by the past administration through the Central Bank of Nigeria.
However, in its reaction, the CBN through its spokesperson Isaac Okoroafor had demised claims that it released such amount of money to the agency. Okoroafor in a statement said the although the apex bank releases mint, it however, does not deal with government agencies directly.
He said the CBN deals directly with bank and not individuals or agencies of the government.
Lets just wait and see what the  EFCC will do when possibly they find another set of cash in other rooms of the apartment.
